Each holiday begins with three full days in the fantastic landscape of Cappadocia, with its underground cities and early Christian cave churches. You then take a detour via the tombs of the Pontic kings in Amasya to the neighbouring heartlands of the second millennium BC Hittite Civilisation, before proceeding into the country of the Phrygians, a region almost unknown to tourism, yet as fascinating as Cappadocia. Having marvelled at the treasures of Midas, you spend the last part of your journey in a beautiful hill village near the magnificent ruins of ancient Ephesus.

Throughout this fully escorted tailor made tour you stay in lovely small hotels of great character (the hotel in Cappadocia is actually a converted cave) and there are plenty of opportunities to sample the best of Anatolian cuisine.
